The sole purpose of First in the Field is to fundraise for those in our military community in need of support.
As a small organization managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, we have no overhead costs except for annual banking, and domain name charges. We donate every penny raised to organizations in our community who are providing programs and services to the military community.

There are several non-profit organizations who offer exceptional programs and support to our target audiences across the community at large. We work to fundraise and donate to them to enable them to continue delivering the services needed for our military community.
Examples include: the Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) and the Veterans Association Food Bank (Edmonton).

We started our organization with selling 50/50 tickets and balloons at Heroes Hockey Challenge events and PPCLI Association Golf tournaments. We have also supported “For the Soldier” Breakfasts and recently were awarded a charitable gaming license for our first AGLC casino fundraising opportunity in November 2021.
We donate every dollar we raise as our board directors all volunteer their time for our organization. Minimal funds are retained to manage our annual website and stationary costs.
